I was hoping maybe he'd sign this morning and play this afternoon.....like what Johnny Hockey is doing in Calgary and for the same reasons.

You read my mind. I was wondering how you guys think he could help us.

Not only would he step in, but would make either McDonald or Streit expendable, if you would consider them to all fill a similar role, not that having too many guys who can move is bad, but I still think they want Byfuglien and homer will not stop till he has his franchise dman.

And I am very curious how, after losing Kimmo, maybe adding Ghost and trading for Buff (who would then maybe mentor Morin down the line) we would look. Only untouchables being Claude and Coutourier.

But speculation is for the offseason so.....

It seems like yesterday I was sitting indian style with my hands in front of my eyes while Danny was going in for that shootout goal that launched us to the playoffs and finals (!)

I hate St. Louis so much more now, but I have no doubt we CAN beat them. Heres to hoping someone upsets the Bruins, I have no problem with the pathnof least resistance.

The line rush goal -- a dreadfully soft one -- was a backhand shot from the right circle that got through the five hole.

Bill, as always a nice summary setup for the game.

I was a little surprised that having clinched 3rd the Flyers don't call up a defenseman to play in the last game as well. Surely someone down on the farm has earned the nod.

When I saw they had called up a forward to go with Heeter I wondered which forward was dinged. I know at this time of year they all are to one degree or another.

Playoff blog topic: Call ups and roll players who became "stars" in the playoffs but never carried it over to regular season.

Oh yea, James Neal is a scumbag. Nice two handed swing to the head, I forget who he got. He is easily my most hated pen. I think that is something the league should take another look at.

Emery better play ALOT better then he did against Pittsburgh, letting in a couple soft goals. Why Hal Gill wasn't used MORE during the year, and giving guy's a rest is beyond stupid to me.

Still wish we were playing the Pens in round 1. Sending those assnuggets home in the First Round would be the most glorious thing that could happen short of a cup win.
